1. How do I register for a Texas Mahjong tournament?
a. Players are able to register for a tournament by clicking on the tournament tab in the main lobby and begin registering for a tournament. Depending on the tournament type, each tournament entry cost may either be Free, Ticket or Cash Payment. b. Please refer to the Step-by-Step image guide on how to join a tournament

2. Why join a Texas Mahjong tournament?
Tournaments in Texas Mahjong provides players a way to join a competitive environment whereby players can pit their skill and wit against each other to complete for a large prize pool.

3. What is the purpose for a ticket?
Tickets are a type of currency that can only be obtained from tournaments and are primarily used for entering various type of tournaments. Depending on the tournament, different type of tickets will be required for entry.
4. How do I use a ticket?
Tickets are automatically consumed upon registering for the correct tournament. Players are able to check on the amount and the type of tickets they currently have by clicking on their ‘Profile’ Page.
5. Can I re-buy the tournament?
The option to re-buy into a tournament is currently not available. This feature will be implemented in future updates.
6. What is an ante?
An ante is a stake put up by a player before receiving their tiles. Similarly, to Poker each round 2 players will be required to put down a blind before the tiles are distributed, the two blinds are ‘Small Blind’ and ‘Big Blind’.
7. What is a ‘Small Blind or ‘Big Blind’?
Blinds are bets that are forced onto the players during a Texas Mahjong, there are normally 2 blinds and they are the ‘Small Blind’ and the ‘Big Blind’. Blinds are normally required of the 2 players to the left of the dealer, starting with the ‘Small Blind’ for player next to the dealer and followed by a ‘Big Blind’ next. . The bets required for the small or big blind would be depending on the game, however the Big blind is always double the amount of the ‘Small Blind’.
8. How do I register for Sit & Go?
Registering for a Sit & Go is similar to registering for a tournament. There are prerequisites for each tier and each tier has an entry fee of either a Ticket or a Cash Payment, this is with the exception of the Freeroll Sit & Go.
9. What is the primary currency used in the game?
Texas Mahjong uses primarily Renminbi(RMB)(人民币), this includes payment as well as cash prizes. You are required to convert your existing currency (if not in RMB) to RMB in-order to begin playing.
10. What is the exchange rate from RMB?
The exchange rate for each currency refreshes weekly. (exact time and day to be confirmed)
11. How does the house earn each game?
The house collects a small amount in each pot at the end of each game.
12. What is the purpose of leveling?
Levels such as BronzeStar or SilverStar is used to represent the player’s seniority in the game and it also may serve as a requirement to enter certain tournaments.
13. What happens if i get disconnected during a tournament game?
If a player disconnects from the game, they are able to rejoin so as long as the round is still ongoing, however during this time the disconnected player will still be in the game but AI controlled. Every tile the disconnected player draws get automatically discarded The player will auto check every round, however if someone raises the amount in the pot the AI will automatically fold. The ‘discard’ and ‘betting’ timer will be increased by a few seconds to give the disconnected player a chance to return into the game. If a player remains disconnected for 3 rounds consecutively, they’ll be automatically kicked from the tournament.
14. Will I be refunded of buy-in amount if the tournament is cancelled?
Yes. You will get back your ticket or buy-in amount that you used to register a tournament if the tournament is cancelled.
15. Does Texas Mahjong provide PLAY FOR FUN (Free) mode?
Yes. We do provide Play for Fun mode for players who just would like to join in for free!
16. Can I change my Nickname and Avatar?
You are allowed to change your avatar anytime in-game by selecting your profile picture and clicking on your current avatar. You are however not able to change your nickname once it has been chosen.
17. What is difference between GENERAL and QUICK JOIN in CASH GAME?
GENERAL: All tables are displayed at a glance. You are enable to select the desired table that you would like to join. QUICK JOIN: Only shows the main table types sorted according to their groups, picking the group of choice will match you to the best possible room.
18. What is NORMAL and FAST MODE?
NORMAL MODE: You are given 8 or more seconds each to bet or discard a tile. FAST MODE: You are given only 5 or less seconds each to bet or discard a tile
19. Can I play Texas Mahjong on Mobile?
Yes, you can download APK and install it on your android device. Currently, we only offer Texas Mahjong Mobile for Android OS 4.0 or above.
20. Where are my tournament tickets?
To check for available tournament tickets, Click on The Avatar then you will see all tickets you are currently having with expiration date.
21. How if I won 2 tickets with the same tournament ID?
To note that if you have more than one (1) tickets which could play in same tournament ID, we will consider as 1 (one) valid ticket for specific tournament only.
